Features of Coaching
Although there is a lack of agreement among coaching professionals about precise definitions, these are some generally agreed characteristics of coaching in organisations.
Coaching is a non-directive form of intervention meaning that the agenda and process is not determined by the coach.
One of the outcomes of coaching is the client’s ability to make informed decisions about the action they need to take to achieve their goals and objectives.
Coaching sessions should always result in some form of agreed action to help the client to move closer to the achievement of their goals and objectives.
