Features of Training
High Growth Enterprise Coaches are often required to help clients to address gaps in their knowledge, skills and understanding or the knowledge, skills and understanding of the people employed by them. Training can be carried out on a one to one basis, but more typically involves working with a group of individuals.
Training is particularly useful when the wholesale transfer of a set of new skills is required, such as a change in systems, the introduction of a new piece of equipment or software or a new job role.
Training programmes are usually generic and not tailored to individual needs. Delegates generally have to complete standard modules or activities, so there is little room for tailoring programmes to account for individual existing knowledge, skills or preferences.
One of the limitations of training is that it is not always sufficiently similar to the ‘live’ working environment to ensure effective skills transfer.
