One of the roles undertaken by coaches is the development and transfer of knowledge and skills so that clients become more independent and are able to perform to a Higher level.
Purist coaches believe that clients possess all of the resources they require to address and resolve their own problems. Often, however, High Growth Enterprise Coaches find themselves in situations where a client does not have the knowledge, skills or experience from which to develop a solution. In some scenarios, clients do not have the luxury of time to explore and research potential solutions as action is needed sooner rather than later.
High Growth Enterprise Coaches play a key role in the development of client knowledge and skills. The High Growth Enterprise Coach is often required to make judgements about the role that they are required to play, which may be any one of coach, trainer, consultant, facilitator, mentor, advisor or broker.
The decision is dependent upon several factors and belongs to the client.
